Atithi bhooto bhava: Review

Atithi Bhooto bhava is an Indian Hindi horror comedy movie directed by Hardik Gajjar, a skilled name in the industry known for Devo k Dev Mahadev, Siya K Ram, and many more tv shows now in the reign of movie direction, written by Aniket Wakchaure known for only some of his work like Bhatukali and The Missing Stone.

Plot Construction: This is the saga of how Shrikant (Pratik Gandhi) meets his previous life grandson Makhan Singh (Jackie Shroff) and helped him to find his long-lost love posthumously. Strange to hear but true and quite a fresh concept that would be appreciated.
Shrikant (Pratik Gandhi) is a modern young age man from Mumbai living with his girlfriend Netra (Sharmin Segal)  in a live-in. He is a stand-up comedian, prone to throw jokes about relationships that irritates his girlfriend which is the reason for the little tidbits between them.
so this is the way story goes but one day he meets the ghost of his grandson (Makhan Singh) from his past life dramatically, who urges  to meet his lost girlfriend with the help of Shrikant, his own grandfather from his previous life. then they together decided to go in search of his lost love  (Manju Yadav) who is living or dead, nobody knows. then they lead a road trip from Mumbai to Mathura which is the native place of Manju Yadav.

Now viewers have to watch the movie to know whether Makhan Sing meets Manju Yadav or if is there something other to grasp in the story.

Cinematography: Credit goes to Madhu Vannier who is famous for her work in Besharam (2013) has put average effort into this movie which becomes one of the reasons for not receiving the more star required for cinematography.  Inception was casual and not so catchy to mark one's attention. The setup of the house of Makhan Singh, in Mathura, is creepy, and unrealistic. In one word there is a lack of soul in the set. Moreover, the road trip which covers one-third part of the movie has actually devoid of zest,as an audience I was waiting for too long for some content from this road trip, but there was nothing in the director's mind to show there. That was actually not so necessary but rather an unsuccessful attempt to fill the gap of enthusiasm into the whole presentation, it was unable to satisfy the fantasy of road trip fans in comparison to other road trip movies, and that get-together in one of the friend's house in the way to Mathura, sorry but highly irrelevant.

Casting: When I randomly came across this movie on one of the websites, Hndi links, firstly I thought it is something like a hidden gem having a low budget but overdose of entertainment cause of the star cast who is Prateek Gandhi, yes the fame of scam 1992, who played fantastically the role of Harshad Mehta and well-known veteran actor Jackie Shroff with some of the newcomers.

Though Jacki shroff has done a fabulous job in the role of Makhan Singh as the efficient professional, what he exactly is. He has procured proficiently in the role of the grandson of Pratik even in the gray bear but the second protagonist of the story i.e. Pratik Gandhi or Shrikant disappointed through his acting it seems he doesn't feel to laugh in the scene of laughing, his acting was unable to reach the heart of his audience, frankly speaking, he just proved wrong to his fans of Scam.
Sharmin Segal is nice in her role of today's girl along with other minor characters too have done their job greatly and were able to give a potion of humor in some places.

Commentary: Honestly, one time watchable with a few irritable minutes. the reason is just the concept that is not only new to hear but also raised an irrelevant interest to see, 'how the bizarre urge of Makhan Singh will carry out' so in short you cannot leave the movie in between unless some emergency occurs in your way.
